SINGAPORE, 11th October 2006 -- Aztech Systems Ltd is proud to present its embedded Skype DECT, a cordless phone for Skype and conventional phone calls without the hassle of a PC connection. Following the successful launch of its Skype DECT in August, Aztech will be delivering the next generation of PC-Free Skype phone - V500DS, offering Skype users the ultimate convenience in mobility at homes or at offices. The V500DS will make its 1st appearance at one of Asia's largest consumer trade shows - China Sourcing Fair and Hong Kong Electronic Fair starting on 11th October. Live presentations with demonstrations will be conducted at Aztech booth: Hall 8, 8E02 and Hall 5, 5G29 respectively.

Aztech looks set to lead the pack with its latest product that truly revolutionizes the way Skype users enjoy inexpensive international phone calls. With the V500DS, users do not have to rely on a computer to access Skype for text chat, make Skype to Skype calls or calls to another Skype user in a different part of the world. More importantly, the V500DS is a 2 in 1 dual mode phone that can be used for traditional landlines as well. Users no longer need separate phones in their premise to enjoy the benefits of Internet calls via Skype plus the normality of traditional landlines calls. Powered by the proven DECT technology, the product guarantees users with unsurpassed and crystal clear digital communications.

The V500DS is equipped with all the standard Skype features and applications built-in. Its user-friendly GUI allows the user to operate the handset with ease. Existing Skype users sign into their account, automatically downloading all their contacts to the cordless phone. Users then search for Skype contacts directly on the phone, and add them to the in-built 'buddy' list, clearly displayed on the 1.5" colour display. Making a call is as easy as scrolling up and down the list and using the 'TALK' button. There is a separate SkypeOut button for users to make inexpensive services phone calls to any phone numbers in the world.

The V500DS is also loaded with many features such as a hands-free speakerphone built-in, blue keypad backlight and has 9 polyphonic ring tones. It also registers up to another 4 handsets to the base-station.

The new V500DS is expected to hit retail shops in January 2007, in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
